Altera Autokool

Personal data processing

Updated 21 October 2026

Who is responsible for your data

The controller for website enquiries and student data is ALTERA AUTOKOOL OÜ (registry code 11950064), Meeliku tn 24/4-125, Tallinn, 13915. Contact us about data processing at info@altera.ee or +372 511 47 40. Altera Autokool OÜ handles every enquiry submitted through this website. Altera Garage OÜ does not receive website enquiry data.

What we collect and why

When you submit an enquiry, we collect your name, phone number, email address, selected category or service, language and study format, course name and start date, and any comment you choose to add. Depending on the course, we may also ask for your preferred transmission or whether you hold a driving licence. The system records when the enquiry was submitted and the page it came from.

We use these details to answer your enquiry, contact you and, at your request, prepare a course or service. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. When a contract is made and a learner is registered, necessary data are processed to perform the contract and comply with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).

The initial online form does not ask for your personal identification code. If you proceed with a course, Altera Autokool OÜ will request the code separately when preparing the agreement and student registration, where it is needed for that course. Without it, the learner may not be registrable as required. Comments are optional; please do not include health or other sensitive information.

Who receives your data

Enquiry details are stored in Altera Autokool OÜ’s CRM; personal data fields are encrypted, and the owner has access to the CRM. Full enquiry details are emailed to the school through Zone.ee, and a confirmation is sent to the email address you provide. Telegram notifications contain only the category or service, study language and format, and, when available, the course start date.

After an agreement is signed, an Altera Autokool OÜ employee manually enters the necessary learner data into LiiklusLab. To register a learner, Altera Autokool OÜ sends the required information to Transpordiamet, including the learner’s name, personal identification code and course, group and date details. Altera Garage OÜ does not receive website enquiry data. The website has no automatic LiiklusLab integration.

Google reviews shown on the website load images and styling files from Google and Trustindex servers; when they load, those providers receive technical device data such as your IP address. If you open a Google Maps map or follow a social media link, your device connects to that service and its privacy terms apply to that visit. We do not add enquirers to a marketing email list.

How long we keep data

We keep data for as long as needed to handle an enquiry, organise training and meet legal obligations. Under Altera Autokool OÜ’s approved retention schedule:

Deletion of closed enquiries and learner records is not automated yet: the owner checks when a period expires and manually deletes or anonymises the data. A backup of the CRM database is created once a day on the same VPS; personal data fields remain encrypted in the copy. Backups are kept for 30 days and then automatically deleted. No off-site backup is configured. Some training and accounting documents are kept for the periods required by law; those periods do not apply to the whole CRM record.

  • a closed enquiry that did not lead to training is deleted or anonymised 6 months after it is closed;
  • a learner’s working record is kept until training ends and for another 12 months;
  • the school’s copy of the enquiry email is kept in the CRM for 90 days after entry.

Your rights

You may request access to your data and correction of inaccurate information and, where the law provides, erasure, restriction or portability, or object to processing. The scope of these rights depends on the purpose and legal basis. Contact info@altera.ee. You may also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate at https://www.aki.ee/.

Automated checks

The website checks required fields and contact formats, the selected course and whether a start date is available, then links the enquiry to that course. A technical check may reject an invalid selection or a course that is no longer available. The website does not decide whether to enrol or reject a learner; an Altera Autokool OÜ employee makes that decision manually.
